This new neighbourhood with no direct MTR access is part of Chai Wan and in many ways it is in great contrast to the town centre with its newer infrastructure and focus on taking advantage of its unique surroundings. Noteworthy landmarks in Siu Sai Wan include the Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground that sits in the northern part of the area, it is one of the very few stadiums found in Hong Kong, with seating capacity of 12,000, the grounds is primarily utilised for football and track events.
Next to the Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground is the large and modern Island Resort apartment complex with the Island Resort Mall on the ground and lower levels. Completed in 2001, the land upon it was built had the distinction of being the most expensive in the City when it was purchased before the handover in 1997. This large development consists of 9 towers with up to 60 floors each and has one of the most comprehensive lists of facilities and also some of the best open sea views in Hong Kong. Although with no MTR in Siu Sai Wan this development has the benefit of sitting on top of the Siu Sau Wan Bus Terminus.
Siu Sai Wan is fantastic for sighting seeing and exploring, surrounding the Sports Ground and Island Resort is the promenade that provides a relaxed environment to enjoy of the open sea views. While not much further to the east there is a popular Hiking trail along the coastal hillside that allows for some of the most eastern views from Hong Kong Island.
