Hong Kong being one of the most densely populated Cities in the world makes for an energetic Nightlife, for a weekend night out you’re never short of options and interesting crowds. Some even choose to buy or rent an apartment based on how close they are to the action. In Hong Kong there are popular nightlife districts, each providing an assortment of entertainment options and even late hours snacking or even dining.

Central / Lan Kwai Fong
Lan Kwai Fong is a stone throw away from the Central Business District of Hong Kong and one of the most popular nightlife destinations. This small square of streets is so renowned it has its own webpage with a directory and upcoming events. Tourists, Expatriates, Business men and women, students, people from all walks of life can all be found here in the countless bars and nightclubs, with crowds often over spilling into the streets. If you are keen to meet new people, a weekend in Lan Kwai Fong is definitely a good place to start. Lan Kwai Fong even has apartments for rent just above the busy streets, perfect for the real party goer who doesn’t mind the loud music and noise pollution.

Wan Chai
With a somewhat seedy history has an assortment of night time entertainment, with bars and pubs located around Lockhart Road and Hennessey Road. Some bars provide a red light like atmosphere and few Strip-clubs in Hong Kong can also be found in this district. Wan Chai is also a popular destination for karaoke with many franchises located in the area.

Soho
Soho, in this case meaning South of Hollywood Road has a great variety of pubs and small restaurants, Happy Hour drinks are also popular here, often a prelude to the more rowdy Lan Kwai Fong a short walk away. Soho has an international assortment of wining and dining options, popular with the expatriate crowd, where quiet drinks and al fresco dining can be found.

Tsim Sha Tsui

Tsim Shat sui is one of the major Tourist hotspots in Hong Kong and not surprisingly there are many night life options available. In Tsim Sha Tsui there are many high end Hotel bars, some may say provide the world’s best night views overlooking the Harbour to Hong Kong Island. In Knutsford Terrace and the new East Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade there are many expat orientated bars and clubs, and located in East Tsim Sha Tsui you can find one of the largest Karaoke venue in Hong Kong.

Causeway Bay
Many bars and pubs can be found near Sogo and Times Square, there are many buildings with the top floors dedicated to bars and nightclubs and sometimes even the whole building. The local Karaoke pubs are popular for the younger crowd in Causeway Bay, but if you are looking for something more on the higher end, there are bars at the top floors of popular hotels such as the Excelsior.
